Dr. Charles Taylor is the Co-founder and Executive Vice President of PROTEUS Technologies, and has 20 years of software research and development experience. From the inception of PROTEUS, Dr. Taylor has embraced his vision to build a company of top notch engineers who provide a new level of expertise, ethics, enthusiasm and professionalism to the Government Intelligence Community. He has worked tirelessly to build and head an exceptional Software Engineering Division, to oversee the creation of a Systems Engineering Division, to foster solid strategic partnerships with key Prime Contractors and to create a company culture that promotes personal advancement in a team-spirited environment for the benefit of the client and their mission.
Managing the Business Development efforts of PROTEUS, Dr. Taylor is responsible for far exceeding annual corporate revenue projections as well as forging alliances with many Intelligence Community and commercial partners including:
- Booz Allen Hamilton
- Northrop Grumman Mission Systems
- Praxis Engineering, Incorporated
- S4, LLC
Prior to assuming his business leadership role, Dr. Taylor developed technical expertise in the analysis, design, and development of natural language processing, pattern analysis and service oriented architecture (SOA) systems for DoD intelligence agencies.
Dr. Taylor received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Lehigh University, and his Master and Bachelor of Science degrees from East Stroudsburg University. He continues to pursue a variety of learning opportunities and is currently enrolled in the MIT Sloan School of Management’s Executive Leadership Certificate Program.
In his spare time, Dr. Taylor enjoys a relatively new passion – cycling with his colleagues; as well as playing piano, golfing, and spending time with his family.
