Expertise in Java and network protocol technologies paves the way
Columbia, MD -- November 28, 2004 — PROTEUS Technologies announces the award of two new defense related contracts for software engineering and systems integration services for the delivery of custom systems of sensitive defense applications. With an award total of $11.7 million, the company will see base year funding of $2.2 million.
"We are excited to end the 2004 fiscal year with these two new awards and we'll continue the momentum into 2005. PROTEUS had a banner year for growth and expansion in 2004," stated Ms. Teresa Taylor, President and CEO. "We've experienced over 300% growth in our software engineering services division alone, and we look forward to new challenges and great opportunities for PROTEUS in 2005."
PROTEUS will partner with Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, of Columbia, MD for the larger of the two contracts which contributes $10.8 million to the award total over a period of five years. For this effort, PROTEUS will provide leading edge, java-based (J2EE) system and software engineering services to the Department of Defense.
Additionally, PROTEUS has been awarded a $900K Department of Defense contract. "We're look forward to developing new network protocol analysis tools for another DoD client. These new, innovative tools will pave the way for advances in our customer's way of 'doing business,' which were previously not possible," stated Dr. Charles Taylor, Executive Vice President. "PROTEUS is a veteran to innovative research programs and has used them to successfully transform ideas into viable technologies and new products. The developed capability will significantly out-pace the state-of-the-art in bandwidth, resolution, and speed, with potential applications in both commercial and government markets," predicts Dr. Taylor.
